Visa Information for Authors

Conference Venue: UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Important: Authors are strongly advised to apply for a visa at least 6–8 weeks before the conference date. Visa processing times vary by country and embassy workload. Early applications are highly recommended.

Check if You Need a Visa

Malaysia offers visa-free entry to citizens of many countries. Citizens of ASEAN member states, most EU countries, USA, UK, Australia, Japan, and South Korea typically do not require a visa for short visits.

Apply for eVISA Online

If your country requires a visa, you can apply for a Malaysia eVISA online. The eVISA system allows you to apply, pay, and receive your visa electronically without visiting an embassy.

  • Apply up to 3 months before travel
  • Processing time: 3–14 working days
  • Fee: approximately USD 12–25

Request a Visa Support Letter

Authors who require an official Visa Support / Invitation Letter from the conference organizers may request one after completing registration and payment.

  • Letter issued only after confirmed registration & payment
  • Available for registered authors, presenters, session chairs, and invited speakers
  • Cannot be issued for accompanying guests or family members

Documents Typically Required

When applying for a Malaysia visa, you will typically need:

  • Valid passport (min. 6 months validity beyond travel dates)
  • Completed visa application form
  • Recent passport-sized photograph
  • Conference registration confirmation
  • Visa Support / Invitation Letter from organizers
  • Proof of accommodation booking
  • Return flight ticket
  • Proof of sufficient funds
